Job Description
Location: located on the northern point of Cook Inlet Largest city in the borough and a part of the Anchorage metropolitan area, which had an estimated population of 362,340 in 2007. Facility: Community Mental Health Center provides a full range of counseling services for children, adolescents, and adults. The clinical staff offers individual, family, or group therapy, psychiatric evaluation and medication management and/or referral to rehabilitative services. Every person receives individualized treatment planning and becomes the focal point of the services provided. They use an integrated service model that incorporates mental health, substance abuse concerns, and an individuals physical health. Position: 100% outpatient, 40 hour work week and NO CALL. This position would be a mix of Adult and Child/Adolescent or all Adults depends on the interest. Currently the CMHC has several contracted psychiatrist but none are employed. Compensation: This position is employed with a salary that starts at $200,000 plus with full benefits. HPSA candidates can apply for federal medical school loan assistance. They are also able to sponsor J-1 and H-1 visas.
