Job Description

This VA facility is in East Central Illinois, about an hour and a half from Indianapolis, they are looking for two Adult psychiatrists to provide immediate full-time coverage. The hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and one weekend per month eight hours per day. The psychiatrist would be responsible for evaluation of new and return outpatients and care of inpatients (only on as needed basis and while providing weekend coverage).

Per day patient care: approximately 8-15 outpatients – 1/2 hour allotted for follow-up and one hour for new patients during regular work week schedule and during weekend coverage responsible for providing services to psychiatric inpatients).

Physical Assessment; Psychiatric Evaluations and Mental Status Exams Psychotherapy; Pharmacotherapy; Consultation; Clinical Supervision; General Medical Condition Care; Group Psychotherapy; Behavior Therapy; Family Therapy, Treatment Team meetings, and Discharge Planning

Compensation & Pension exams on an as needed basis.

Minimum commitment: 60 days
