Job Description

Hours: 8-5, M-F.
No call.
2/3 CHP, 1/3 adult.
Client will consider adult Doctors who are experienced with children ages 3 and up.
Average 15 to 18 patients per day (in an 8-hour work day), 1 to 2 initial evaluations daily and the rest medication management.
9 bed unit, average daily census 6 or 7.
Average length of stay 11 days. Physicals for H&Ps are done by other Doctors, not the LT Doctor.
The LT Doctor would do the psychiatric assessment after a patient has already been admitted by another Doctor.
Client will consider 1 month minimum assignments.
All Candidates must go through hospital credentialing which takes approximately 1 to 2 weeks.
Reason for the need: Client is using Locum Tenens until they hire a permanent Psychiatrist.
