Adult Psychiatry Position - 45 minutes from Raleigh, NC!!
Our Psychiatric Hospital serves both adult inpatient mental health patients and substance abuse patients. We do not provide inpatient care for children or adolescent. We are looking to assist a psychiatrist in establishing a private practice or joining with other physicians in the community. Our needs are for a psychiatrist to assist with the inpatient work in our 50 bed hospital and provide consults to our other acute care setting. We anticipate the work load to be approximately 50% inpatient and consult work and 50% outpatient services.
Current Census averages 35-38 patients. We need a physician that will be 1 in 4 on-call, carry an inpatient census of 8 to 12 patients, assist with Acute Hospital Consults (avg 1 per day), and provide consult back-up to our Emergency Room. Outpatient is a wide-open, since we have lost 2 psychiatrists this year and the Mental Health System has eliminated most of their Physician Coverage.
NC Medicaid Pays 95% of Medicare rate. Our Inpatient Population is 80% Medicare and Medicaid, 20% PPO Commercial (no HMO's).
Outpatient Facilities are located within the Hospital, making it convenient for the Physician to cover both IP and OP.
We also have a Strong Clinical Team to assist with Inpatients, including a full-time Clinical Pharmacist that assesses and monitors every patient and a PA to perform H&P's.
45 Minutes from Raleigh. Good School systems, both public and private available.
Offering 2 year income guarantee (Collections less reasonable expenses) of around $150,000 each year, with a 1 year forgiveness for each year. Other items are negotiable.
