Adult Psychiatrist Needed on Dual Diagnosis Unit in Vermont

Job Description

This is an adult inpatient facility where the Psychiatrist will be working on a dual diagnosis unit (chemical dependency and adult psychiatry combined). This unit has a very strong rehabilitation program. In addition, there is a second unit that is strictly adult psychiatry. Psychiatrist would be responsible for 9 patients/day, and they would be a combination of patients from each unit. There are 2-3 admissions/discharges per day. Average length of stay is 11 days. Histories and physicals are completed by the internal medicine physician on staff. Call is not required; however if the locums Psychiatrist would like the flexibility of participating in the call rotation, they can.
