Job Description
We are seeking a specialist Radiologist to join our client's team of six Radiologists, two Registrars and a Nuclear Medicine Physician. The Hospital serves a base population of 150,000 and is the referral centre for an Oncology population of 500,000. The department performs about 70,000 examinations a year. They provide a wide range of diagnostic and interventional procedures. As well as plain film, fluoroscopy, mammography and ultrasound facilities, the department has a Phillips DSA unit and Siemens Sensation 16 slice CT. Scintigraphy has a GE starcam and Siemens twin head ECAM. A GE Signa 1.5T MRI is provided onsite by an external contractor. the Hospital is contracted to BreastScreen Aotearoa to provide Breast Screening services. Participation in the Breast Screen service and/or MRI sessions may be available to the successful candidate.
The position may be a joint appointment with a local private practice.
An attractive salary package is available to the successful applicant, including potential for share holding in the private practice.
The successful applicant will have knowledge and practice of a wide range of radiological procedures. An interest in Interventional Radiology or Scintigraphy would be an advantage.
Applicants must be registered or eligible for registration as a Specialist Radiologist with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
