Job Description

Board Certified General Surgeon (with an interest in trauma) to join our Trauma/Acute Care Surgery Program at Mercy Hospital.

THE OPPORTUNITY:
• Newly developed Trauma/Acute Care Program expanding.
• Register or log in for contact information is working toward becoming an ACS Certified, Level II Trauma Center. Mercy Hospital, a Level III facility looking to become a Level II facility in 2009, is a 275 bed acute care hospital;
• There will be a surgeon on duty 24hrs/7 days a week to take Emergency Department surgical cases, both Trauma and Non-Trauma, and will respond to any in-house surgical emergencies that may arise.
• Hospital currently performing 8000+ surgical cases annually;
• Approximately 25 physician specialties to consult that are located at or within minutes of the hospital campus;
• This is an employed position with a very competitive base salary along with annual goal based incentive bonuses and a full benefit package.
