Permanent Psychiatrist Needed in Central Massachusetts

This facility is located in central Massachusetts and they seeking either a part time locums or permanent psychiatrist to provide immediate coverage. This jail houses both pre-trial and sentenced inmates. They are currently significantly improving the mental health services, by opening two housing units specifically designed for inmates with mental health problems -- one for sentenced inmates and the other for pre-trial inmates, as these populations cannot be mixed. They also provide services to inmates with mental health issues who do not require a special housing unit. The job entails diagnostic evaluations and psychopharmacology follow-ups primarily, working as part of a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, social workers, mental health workers, and corrections staff. Perm salary for the right candidate around $200,000 plus benefits for a full-time position.
