Psychiatrist Wanted in North Dakota! Great Pay- A Friendly State!

This facility located in north central North Dakota is seeking an adult inpatient psychiatrist to provide coverage December 19 through April 2010. The provider would cover a 22-bed inpatient unit. Average census of 12. One to two admissions and discharges per day and the average length of stay is three to five days. Patients are primarily adult, but sometimes geriatric and adolescent patients (very rare) will be seen. Call is optional. If the provider would like to take call, they can be in the 1:5 rotation. Weekday call is usually one in five nights per week with average call backs of two per night. Weekend call is 1:5 with average call backs of nine per weekend. Call is usually related to phone calls except weekends when they have to make rounds on the inpatients. The psychiatrists on staff have strong support from the Emergency Medicine physicians and support staff during nights and weekends. H&P's done by Family Practice doctor on staff. Notes are dictated and electronic records are used as well.

Compensation for this assignment is $175/hour, plus travel, housing and malpractice insurance
