Locums Psychiatrist Needed Near Nashville 10-15 hrs/week

This facility is located around Nashville, TN and they are seeking a locum provider to do consults on their case manager. On average, they need about 10-15 hours per week. This facility provides family support services, help grandparents raise children, provides after school program, goes in homes and provide case management and conflict resolution. This client needs a locum to help with the billing i.e. getting services authorized; since the case manager doesn't have that authority. Client does family preservation /children & family comprehensive case management to children in state custody who are severely emotionally disturbed. Also the psych would sign off for the case manager. The case manager actually goes into the home and evaluates the kids and the locum will consults with the case manager. Other responsibilities include:

Candidates must be experienced treating children of all ages, but do not have to be child & adolescent fellowship trained.
Prescribe medication if any of the children require medication management (come in one day per month to write prescriptions).
Make sure case manager's treatment plans are written in a professional manner and that they are adequately addressing the clinical needs of the patients.
Attend a monthly case management team meeting.
Deal with insurance carriers re: authorization of services to make. sure they can maintain services with the families who need them.
Make sure the Client is billing correctly for services they provide.
