Locums – Palliative Care – Nurse Practitioner – Oregon

Schedule

Start Date: February 16, 2026

Assignment Length: Ongoing

Clinic Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

One-hour unpaid lunch (flexible timing)

Call Responsibilities:

Weeknight beeper call for symptom management (5:00 PM – 8:00 AM)

Averages approximately 4 weeknights of call per month

Approximately 1 weekend of call per month (8:00 AM – 8:00 AM)

Weekend and weekday call schedules determined after placement

Backup call coverage for an additional site is provided via telehealth only

Practice Setting

Setting: Outpatient Hospice / Palliative Care

Collaborative interdisciplinary care model

Clinical Responsibilities

Conduct admissions and recertification face-to-face visits

Provide primary symptom management, including medication prescribing

Collaborate closely with RNs and the care team to address patient needs

Participate in after-hours call for symptom support and care guidance

Support & Resources

Established clinical support staff

EMR: Epic

Requirements

Board Certified Nurse Practitioner

Active Oregon license required

Active Washington license required

DEA registration in both OR and WA

BLS certification

Credentialing

Estimated credentialing timeframe: 30–90 days
