Client: AMKY Health
Clinic Setting: Primary Care with occasional hospital rounding
EMR System: Advanced MD
Patient Volume: Approximately 25 patients per day

Full-Time (Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM; occasional evenings or weekends as needed)

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Physician Assistant (PA) with experience in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine to join AMKY Health. The PA will provide comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages, including evaluation, diagnosis, and management of acute and chronic conditions under physician supervision. This role includes occasional hospital rounding and close collaboration with a multidisciplinary healthcare team. Employment type is flexible and may be Locums, Part-Time, or Full-Time.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Assessment & Diagnosis
Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including medical histories and physical examinations
Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests
Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions within scope of practice and supervisory guidelines
Treatment & Management
Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with state regulations and supervising physician agreements
Develop and implement individualized treatment and care plans
Educate patients and families on preventive care, wellness, and disease management
Care Coordination
Collaborate closely with supervising physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care
Coordinate referrals and manage follow-up care
Participate in occasional inpatient hospital rounds as required
Documentation & Compliance
Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation using the Advanced MD EMR system
Ensure compliance with clinical, legal, and regulatory standards
Participate in credentialing and quality assurance processes
Quality Improvement
Engage in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
Stay current with clinical guidelines and evidence-based practices
Qualifications
Education & Licensure
Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
NCCPA certification
Active Illinois PA license or eligibility to obtain
Active DEA license (or eligibility)
Experience
3–5 years of experience preferred; recent graduates will be considered
Prior experience in primary care settings preferred
Familiarity with Advanced MD EMR is a plus
Skills
Strong clinical judgment and diagnostic skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, physician-led team environment
