Peds Critical Care NP/PA Needed in Los Angeles, CA:
Start Date: June 2026
Contract Length: 8-9 months
Schedule: Night Shift, 2- 3 12s. Weekends and holidays.
Role/Responsibility: Covers the PICU, Stepdown PICU and PICU DOU. This position is crucial as not only does the PICU Night shift NP cover the PICU, but they are also responsible for covering the DOU (which is a NP run department with no Fellows or Residents) overnight
Patients per shift: Number of patients during night shift varies - The night shift covers the PICU (16 beds) and the DOU (step down PICU which has 8 beds). The APP is the primary provider for up to 8 patients with a shared model of all patients with the PICU Attending, Fellow and Resident.
Minimum experience: 2 years minimum required in a large Childrens Hospital PICU. Ideally a Level 1.
Willing to license: No for NPs. Yes for PAs.
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, Board Certified in Acute Care
DEA: YES

Credentialing Timeframe: 7-8 week timeframe for temps
Active CA License Required (WILL LICENSE PAs!)
Medical malpractice insurance, travel, and lodging provided
