Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant needed near Syracuse, NY

Job description

A clinic near Syracuse in Liverpool, New York is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a locum tenens assignment in a primary care and occupational health setting. This is a Monday through Friday outpatient opportunity located at a food manufacturing facility, serving employees and dependents ages 2 and older.

Assignment details:
• Monday and Friday: 7:00 AM-4:00 PM
• Tuesday and Thursday: 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
• Wednesday: 10:00 AM-7:00 PM
• 40 hours per week
• No call
• Assignment through 5/29/26 with possible extension
• Average 10-14 patients per day
• Athena EMR

Clinical scope includes:
• Preventive care and chronic condition management
• Annual physicals
• Well woman exams
• Flu shots and cancer screenings
• Pediatric exams
• Allergy treatment
• DOT physicals
• Sports physicals
• Vaccines
• Weight loss counseling
• Acute non-emergency care
• Minor injuries including sprains, strains, and minor lacerations

Requirements:
• Board Certified in Family Medicine
• Active New York license
• DEA
• BLS
• DOT certification required, or proof of scheduled DOT certification exam
• At least 2 years of primary care experience
• Comfortable with well woman exams
• Occupational health, workers comp, and DOT physical experience preferred

• Monday-Friday outpatient schedule with no call
• Primary care and occupational health mix
• DOT certification required and Athena EMR
