Nocturnist Locum Opening - Oakland, CA

Nocturnist – CA
Start: As soon as credentialed
Duration: Ongoing
Schedule: 10–12 night shifts per month (including weekends and holidays)
Call: No call

Work Details:
• Cross cover inpatient services (~90–100 patients) and medical ICU (9–12 patients)
• 2–5 admissions per night + 2–3 emergency consults
• Open ICU model with specialists available on call
• Academic setting with residents (1 cross-cover resident, 2 interns, 1 admitting resident per night)
• 1 nocturnist per night
• Stroke and STEMI center with EP services
• EMR: EPIC

Skills & Requirements:
• Board Certified in Internal Medicine
• Active CA license and DEA (Schedule II) required
• ACLS and NIHSS required
• Must be comfortable running code blues
• Experience with stroke and cardiac patients required
• Experience supervising residents required
• EPIC experience required
• Preferred: ability to place central lines, arterial lines, and dialysis catheters

Scheduling is completed 2–3 months in advance, and providers must be able to submit availability accordingly.
