Job description
TinkBird Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) for a full-time permanent opportunity with a community-focused outpatient practice in Alabama. This position offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive primary care services while caring for a diverse patient population in a supportive, mission-driven environment.

Clinical Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive primary care services for adult patients ages 18+
Perform routine wellness visits, preventive care, and chronic disease management
Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions
Develop individualized treatment plans and coordinate ongoing patient care
Order and interpret diagnostic testing and laboratory studies
Prescribe medications and monitor treatment effectiveness
Maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation
Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure continuity of care
Provide patient education focused on preventive health and wellness
Special Population Experience
The ideal candidate will be comfortable:
Providing comprehensive care for patients living with HIV
Managing HIV treatment and monitoring in collaboration with established clinical guidelines
Delivering gender-affirming care for transgender and gender-diverse patients
Managing hormone therapy and ongoing monitoring for gender-affirming treatment plans
Creating an inclusive, patient-centered healthcare environment
Requirements
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
Active Alabama medical license (or ability to obtain)
DEA registration required
Experience caring for adult patient populations
Strong clinical, communication, and documentation skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience treating patients living with HIV
Experience providing gender-affirming care and hormone therapy management
Community health, FQHC, or underserved population experience
Bilingual skills a plus
Credentialing
Alabama credentialing timeline is approximately 90 days
