Family Medicine Physician - Outpatient Clinic + Newborn Coverage | Florence, OR | 12-Month Locum

Job description

Start: October 1, 2026 (or as soon as credentialed)
Length: 12 months (open to extension)
Coverage: Outpatient clinic with inpatient newborn assessments and rounding
Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8:00-17:00 (standard 5x8s); first day reserved for orientation
Call: Approximately one week per month, including weeknight and weekend call (7a-7a); pediatric and post-delivery call shared
Volume: Approximately 20 patients/day in clinic; 21-bed hospital, average daily census 20
Practice Setting: Outpatient clinic + hospital (inpatient and outpatient privileges)
Procedures: Circumcision

Full-spectrum family medicine care for newborns through geriatrics
Newborn assessments in the hospital immediately after birth when on call, and in clinic
Hospital rounding and admissions
Perform circumcisions as appropriate
Timely documentation in Epic

Please note: this role includes no obstetric-focused medical or surgical care before, during, or after pregnancy. Care and assessment are provided to newborns only - not to the mother - in the hospital and/or clinic setting.

Requirements
Board Certified in Primary Care / Family Medicine
Active Oregon license required at time of presentation (licenses pending will be considered depending on expected issue date; licensure assistance is not offered)
DEA required
BLS and NRP required (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
Minimum 2 years of experience; at least 1 year of Epic experience
COVID-19 vaccination required - no exemptions
Documentation of family medicine clinical activity representative of the scope and complexity of privileges requested within the previous 24 months (recent graduates may submit a training log)

8:00-17:00, Monday through Friday
Approximately one week per month of call, including weekends
Standard credentialing is approximately 90 days from application submission; expedited credentialing may be available
