Job description

Start: September 14, 2026 (or as soon as credentialed)
Length: 26 weeks (initial term 6 months; open to extension)
Coverage: Scheduled shifts - no call
Schedule:
Position #1 - Monday-Friday, 8:00a-4:30p
Position #2 - Weekend/evening coverage: 4:30p-12:30a, 12:30p-8:30p, and/or 8:30a-4:30p (weekends)
Call: No call
Volume: Average daily census 25-30
Practice Setting: Outpatient rehab/addiction treatment center
Patient Population: Adults
Open Positions: 2

Conduct medical examinations and coordinate patient treatment plans
Review and record medical history; clarify details directly with patients
Perform physical examinations and document findings
Order and/or collect specimens, smears, blood work, imaging, and other diagnostics
Analyze reports and findings to evaluate signs, symptoms, and problems, and establish diagnoses
Administer and prescribe treatments and medications
Discuss examination and test results with patients and advise on approaches to improve health and well-being
Provide comprehensive general medical services to an adult population on a continuing basis

Requirements
Valid, active license to practice medicine in the State of New York (no licensure flexibility for this order)
Valid Federal Narcotics (DEA) number
Medicare/Medicaid enrollment in New York State required
ACLS and BLS required
Minimum 2 years of experience
COVID-19 vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
Pre-start documentation: measles, mumps, rubella, and hepatitis B titers; TB skin test; influenza vaccine (October-May season)
Background requirements include SER, SEL, fingerprinting, DEA certification, verification of qualifications and experience, and credentialing/privileging
State-provided orientation and required training modules completed after start

Mon-Fri 8:00a-4:30p (Position #1)
Weekend/evening blocks 8:30a-4:30p, 12:30p-8:30p, 4:30p-12:30a (Position #2)
No call
