# Nurse Practitioner (APRN) – Outpatient Primary Care
## Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced **Nurse Practitioner (APRN)** to join a collaborative outpatient primary care practice. This is a full-time opportunity providing comprehensive primary care services to patients across the lifespan while working closely with physicians, nurses, medical assistants, and other healthcare professionals.

## Responsibilities
* Provide comprehensive outpatient primary care to individuals, families, and groups.
* Independently perform medical acts within the scope of APRN licensure.
* Evaluate, diagnose, treat, and manage patient health conditions.
* Promote preventive care, health education, wellness, and disease prevention.
* Develop and implement appropriate patient care plans.
* Collaborate with physicians, nurses, medical assistants, and other healthcare professionals.
* Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and preventive health.
* Identify patient and family learning needs and provide appropriate education.
* Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
* Support a safe, efficient, and patient-centered clinical environment.
* Participate in professional development and continuing education.
* Contribute to quality improvement and efficient daily practice operations.
## Required Qualifications
* Master's degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
* Current Vermont APRN license or ability to obtain one.
* National certification as an Adult, Family, or Pediatric Nurse Practitioner from an organization recognized by the Vermont Board of Nursing.
* Healthcare Provider CPR certification.
* Active DEA license.
* Qualified for medical staff credentialing.
* Minimum **1 year of Nurse Practitioner experience**.
* Clean malpractice history.
* Ability to meet all applicable credentialing requirements.
## Preferred Qualifications
* Two years of nursing experience prior to obtaining an advanced nursing degree.
* Certification as an Adult, Family, or Pediatric Nurse Practitioner by a nationally recognized organization.
## Candidate Requirements
* Candidates must be able to meet the practice's commuting requirements.
* Visa sponsorship is not available.

* Candidates must be available to work this position as their primary employment and may not combine it with another position.
* A current **NPDB Self-Query Report dated within 30 days** is required at presentation.
* Candidate must be eligible for credentialing and privileging prior to start.
