# Locum Tenens Urgent Care PA/NP – Bristol, Connecticut
MedStaff Nationwide is seeking an experienced **Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner** for a locum tenens urgent care assignment with an established health system in **Bristol, Connecticut**.
This is a flexible coverage opportunity with multiple shifts available throughout September and October. Providers do **not** need to cover the entire schedule and may be considered for select dates based on availability.

## Facility Hours
* Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM–8:00 PM
* Saturday: 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
* Sunday and Holidays: 9:00 AM–2:00 PM
* Facility operates 365 days per year
## Coverage Need
Multiple shifts are currently available throughout September and the majority of October.
Providers who can cover only a portion of the available schedule are encouraged to apply.
## Clinical Scope
The provider will evaluate and treat patients presenting with a broad range of acute illnesses and minor injuries in an established urgent care environment.
Responsibilities include:
* Evaluate and treat adult and pediatric patients
* Perform histories and physical examinations
* Diagnose and manage common acute illnesses
* Treat minor injuries and orthopedic complaints
* Perform minor procedures within scope of practice
* Order and interpret laboratory testing and X-rays
* Prescribe medications and treatment plans
* Provide patient education and follow-up recommendations
* Coordinate care with physicians and clinical support staff
* Determine when patients require specialty consultation or a higher level of care
* Maintain timely and accurate EMR documentation

## Qualifications
* Active or eligible Connecticut PA or APRN/NP license
* National board certification
* DEA registration as applicable
* BLS certification
* Urgent care, emergency medicine, family medicine, or similar experience preferred
* Comfortable treating both adult and pediatric patients
* Ability to manage common urgent care conditions independently
* Strong communication and clinical decision-making skills
