URGENT CARE NP/PA – LOCUM OR LOCUM TO PERM

✓ Profession: Nurse Practitioner (NP) / Physician Assistant (PA)
✓ Job Type: Locum / Locum to Perm
✓ Start: ASAP, pending credentialing
✓ Coverage: 3 days/week until permanent provider is hired
✓ Schedule: Clinics open 7 days/week, 8 AM–8 PM
✓ Shift Length: 12+ hours, depending on patient flow
✓ Call: None
✓ Positions Needed: 3 FT providers – 3 shifts/week each
✓ Practice Setting: Outpatient Clinic
✓ Patient Population: Birth to death; may vary by clinic
✓ Average Census: Approximately 25–50 patients/day, potentially higher during cold & flu season
✓ EMR: Epic
✓ Outpatient: 100%

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

✓ Board Certified – REQUIRED
✓ Active Virginia license – REQUIRED
✓ Active BLS – REQUIRED
✓ Active DEA – REQUIRED
✓ Minimum 1 year of experience in ED/ER, Primary Care, or Urgent Care– REQUIRED
✓ Clean background with no malpractice or license issues – REQUIRED

PROCEDURES & CLINICAL SKILLS

✓ Simple, intermediate, and complex laceration repair/suturing/stapling
✓ Incision & drainage (I&D), including packing
✓ Foreign body removal
✓ Minor burn management
✓ Skin lesion care
✓ Orthopedic/injury stabilization
✓ Splinting & casting
✓ Joint reduction
✓ Diagnostic and point-of-care testing
✓ X-ray interpretation
✓ EKG evaluation
✓ Rapid strep, flu, COVID-19, RSV, urinalysis, and blood glucose interpretation
✓ Epistaxis management, including nasal packing and chemical cautery
✓ Cerumen impaction removal
✓ Nebulizer treatments and initial emergency stabilization
