Job description
The Columbus Organization is seeking an experienced Family Practice Physician to provide comprehensive outpatient primary care services at Naval Health Clinic Lemoore at Naval Air Station Lemoore in Lemoore, California. This full-time 1099 contract opportunity pays $150 per hour and offers an excellent Monday–Friday schedule with no weekends, holidays, call, or call-backs.
This is an opportunity to practice in a respected, mission-focused military healthcare environment serving active-duty service members, veterans, and their families. The physician will work as part of the Medical Home Port / Hornet Health Fleet Centered Medical Home team and provide care across the lifespan, from neonatal through geriatric patients.
Schedule & Compensation
* $150 per hour | 1099 independent contractor
* Monday–Friday
* 8.5-hour shifts scheduled between 7:30 AM–6:00 PM
* No weekends, holidays, call, or call-backs
* Start ASAP, pending credentialing
Position Responsibilities
* Provide comprehensive outpatient family medicine services across all age groups.
* Perform routine, preventive, wellness, school, sports, and well-woman examinations.
* Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions and prescribe appropriate treatment.
* Order and interpret diagnostic testing and coordinate specialty consultations and referrals when appropriate.
* Provide medical readiness assessments and initiate Sick-in-Quarters (SIQ) or duty modifications for active-duty personnel when clinically appropriate.
* Respond to urgent and emergent medical needs within the clinic.
* Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation.
* Participate in staff education, training, and clinical improvement initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications
* M.D. or D.O. from an accredited medical program.
* Minimum of three years of Family Practice experience within the past five years, including experience caring for pediatric patients.
* Active, unrestricted physician license in **any U.S. state or territory**.
* Board eligible required; Board Certified preferred. ABFM, ABIM, or AOBFP accepted.
* Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification through AHA or ARC.
* Ability to successfully complete required government background and credentialing requirements.
