Internal Medicine Physician – Naval Medical Center San Diego | $160/Hour | Monday–Friday

The Columbus Organization is seeking a Board-Certified Internal Medicine Physician to provide comprehensive outpatient medical care at **Naval Medical Center San Diego in San Diego, California. This full-time 1099 contract opportunity pays $160 per hour and offers a consistent Monday–Friday schedule in a highly respected military healthcare environment.

The physician will work as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team providing high-quality, evidence-based, patient-centered care.

Schedule & Compensation

* $160 per hour | 1099 independent contractor
* Full-time, Monday–Friday
* Outpatient primary care clinic setting
* Consistent weekday schedule

Position Responsibilities

* Provide comprehensive outpatient internal medicine and primary care services for adult patients.
* Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions.
* Perform comprehensive histories and physical examinations.
* Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic testing and laboratory results.
* Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
* Prescribe medications and monitor patient response to treatment.
* Provide preventive health services, wellness education, and patient counseling.
* Coordinate specialty referrals and follow-up care as appropriate.
* Maintain complete, accurate, and timely electronic medical records in accordance with military healthcare standards.
* Collaborate with physicians, nurses, specialists, and ancillary staff to ensure continuity and quality of care.
* Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with applicable military, federal, and organizational requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

* Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) from an accredited institution.
* Board Certified in Internal Medicine.
* Active, unrestricted physician license in **any U.S. state, territory, or the District of Columbia**.
* Current DEA registration, if required by the contract.
* Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
* ACLS certification may be required.
* Ability to successfully meet all credentialing and privileging requirements established by the military treatment facility.

Preferred Qualifications

* Previous experience within a Military Treatment Facility (MTF), Department of Defense (DoD), or Veterans Affairs (VA) healthcare environment is preferred but not required.
* Experience working as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
