Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist Opportunity
Connecticut | IICAPS Program | Flexible Hybrid Schedule

A leading behavioral health organization in Connecticut is seeking a Board-Certified Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to support its Intensive In-Home Child & Adolescent Psychiatric Services (IICAPS) program — an innovative, Yale Child Study Center-developed model focused on helping children remain safely supported within their homes and communities.

This is a unique opportunity to provide meaningful, community-based psychiatric care while working within a collaborative multidisciplinary environment dedicated to supporting children, adolescents, and their families.

About the IICAPS Program

IICAPS is an intensive, home-based psychiatric treatment program designed for children and adolescents with significant behavioral health needs. The program helps families stabilize crises, strengthen support systems, and reduce the need for hospitalization or out-of-home placement.

Position Highlights
Schedule
Approximately 8 hours per week
Hybrid or onsite strongly preferred
Full telehealth may be considered
Required Weekly Participation
Tuesdays from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM for IICAPS meetings (required)
Clinical Responsibilities
Provide psychiatric care for Child & Adolescent patients
Youngest patients seen: 6 years old
Conduct:
30-minute medication management appointments
90-minute initial psychiatric evaluations
Supervise APRNs
Collaborate with clinical management to support IICAPS program operations
Attend IICAPS network meetings as needed
Participate in multidisciplinary care coordination and treatment planning
Qualifications
Required
Board Certified in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry
Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship required
Active Medicaid/Medicare enrollment required
Comfortable supervising APRNs and collaborating within multidisciplinary teams
Practice Environment
