Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist Opportunity
Inpatient Unit | 7 on / 7 off | 12-Hour Shifts
A well-established inpatient behavioral health program is seeking a Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to join a structured and collaborative acute care team. This is a high-impact inpatient role focused on stabilization of adolescents with primary psychiatric conditions in a supportive multidisciplinary environment.
Unit Overview
Unit Type: Child & Adolescent Inpatient Psychiatry
Beds: 25
Average Census: ~20 patients
Average Length of Stay: ~10 days
Patient Population: Adolescents (primarily 13–17 years old)
Typical Diagnoses:
Depression with suicidal ideation
Mood disorders / mood dysregulation
Mania
Occasional early-onset psychosis
Schedule
7 on / 7 off rotation
Monday – Sunday coverage blocks
12-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
Night call: 2–3 nights during on-week
Clinical Responsibilities
Rounding on approximately 10–14 patients daily
Patient volume: ~7 active assignments
Admissions: 2–3 per day
Discharges: 2–3 per day
Participate in consult rotation:
1–2 consults per day (average)
Assigned 1–2 days per week
History & Physicals performed by Family Medicine providers
