Job description

An excellent inpatient psychiatry opportunity is available in Springfield! We are seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Psychiatrist for a full-time 6 month assignment with an ASAP start.
Position Highlights
• Compensation: $200/hour
• Travel & Lodging: Covered
• Start Date: ASAP
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8-hour days
• Call: None
• Supervisory Responsibilities: None
• Setting: Inpatient Psychiatry
• Patient Population: Adults, ages 18+
• Requirements: Board Certified or Board Eligible
Clinical Details
• Average caseload of 25 patients
• 1–2 admissions/discharges per week
• Shorter-term patients are seen weekly
• Longer-term patients are seen monthly
• Length of stay varies, with some patients staying 90–120 days and others requiring longer-term care.
Patient Population
This opportunity involves working with a specialized adult psychiatric population, including:
• Not Guilty by Reason of Insanity (NGRI)
• Not Fit to Stand Trial
• Competency-related cases
• Voluntary and involuntary commitments
