Advanced Heart Failure Cardiologist | Weekend Call in Atlanta, GA | 2-3 Weekends/Month | Epic

Job description

Start: December 17, 2026 (or as soon as credentialed)
Length: 26 weeks (flexible)
Coverage: 24-hour weekend call - inpatient Advanced Heart Failure and LVAD patients
Schedule: 2-3 weekends per month; Friday 5:00 PM through Monday 7:00 AM
Call: Calls from the ED and floor patients only (non-ICU), 50 beds
Volume: Weekend census averages 80-90 patients, shared with an employed Heart Failure physician and APPs
Practice Setting: Acute care hospital, cardiac unit
EMR: Epic

Advanced Heart Failure inpatient management, including LVAD patients
Weekend call coverage for ED and floor consults (non-ICU)
Collaborative rounding alongside an employed Heart Failure physician and APP team
Timely documentation in Epic

Requirements
Board Certified in Cardiology
Georgia license and DEA required (GA-licensed candidates reviewed first; IMLC and Compact-eligible candidates will be considered)
BLS required
Minimum 5 years of experience in specialty
Credentialing timeframe: 90-120 days

Travel and lodging provided - flight, hotel, rental car, and mileage
