Job description

We are seeking a Board-Certified Advanced Heart Failure Cardiologist for an ongoing locum tenens opportunity in Atlanta, Georgia. This position offers consistent weekend-only coverage with strong physician and APP support.

Assignment Details:
Location: Atlanta, GA
Start Date: December 17, 2026
Coverage: 2–3 weekends per month
Schedule: Friday 5:00 PM – Monday 7:00 AM
Coverage Type: Weekend call

Practice Setting:
Hospital-based Advanced Heart Failure service
EMR: Epic
Coverage focused on inpatient and LVAD patients
Calls from the ED and non-ICU floor patients
Approximately 50 beds

Support:
Coverage shared with an employed Heart Failure Cardiologist
APP support available throughout the service

Requirements:
Board Certification required
Advanced Heart Failure experience
Active Georgia license required
DEA required
BLS certification required

Credentialing & Travel:
Credentialing timeframe: approximately 90–120 days
Travel covered: Flight, hotel, rental car, and mileage
