Job description
Pathology Opportunity – MD
Start Date: February 16, 2026
Contract Length: 3–6 months
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Call: 1 week every 7 weeks
Call Details:
• Call is generally very reasonable
• Occasional late frozen sections after 5 PM
• Blood bank calls are typically for unit approvals or MTP notifications
Work Details:
• Full-time coverage needed
• 20–30 pathology cases per day
• Case mix includes large, medium, and small surgical pathology cases
• Support staff: 6 other pathologists
• EMR: Cerner
• Hospital Size: 222 beds
• Level II Trauma Center
Clinical Responsibilities:
• General surgical pathology sign-out
• Rapid on-site evaluation (ROSE)
• Non-GYN cytology and clinical pathology
• Participation in cancer conferences, tumor boards, and hospital/lab committees
• Opportunity to practice digital pathology across all practice locations
Practice Setting:
• Hospital
Requirements:
• Board Certified in Pathology
• Active state license required (IMLC only)
• DEA and CSR required
• BLS and ACLS required
• Genitourinary subspecialty preferred but not required
Credentialing:
• 60–90 days
• Licensing assistance not available (IMLC candidates only)
