URGENT Locums Pathologist needed - ASAP start

Job description

Seeking a Board-Certified Pathologist (AP/CP) for a high-priority locum tenens assignment to cover a maternity leave. This role offers excellent support, competitive compensation, and a chance to work within a well-respected community hospital network.

📅 Assignment Details:
Start Date: June 23, 2025

Duration: ~3 months (with possibility to extend)

Schedule:

Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Call: Optional, 1 week/month (clinical call only – no in-house requirement)

🏥 Facility & Practice Info:

Setting: Hospital lab (not trauma dependent)

Procedures Required:

Frozen sections

FNA procedures for adequacy

Cytology (non-GYN), head and neck focus

Volume: ~13,000–15,000 cases annually

Team:

2 pathologists (at least 1 on-site)

Anatomic Pathology Tech + Pathologist Assistant support

Lab techs handle specimen processing

Patient Population: All ages (specimens from 18+, including tonsillectomies)


✅ Candidate Requirements:
Board Certification: AP/CP (Anatomic & Clinical Pathology) – no BE candidates

Minimum Experience: 3 years

License: Ohio license required (no time to license)

DEA/CSR: Not required

Preferred: Cytology board verification (not required)
