Pathologist – Locum Tenens

Assignment Details

Start Date: June 23, 2025 (maternity leave coverage; updated August 4 to allow time for credentialing)

Length: ~3 months

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Call: 1 week per month (7 consecutive days) – clinical call only, no onsite requirement

Practice Setting

Environment: Laboratory-based with community lab support

Volume: 13,000–15,000 cases annually

Support Staff: Lab techs, Pathologist Assistant, Anatomic Pathology Technologist

Team Structure: Typically 2 pathologists – at least 1 onsite, another may read remotely

Procedures:

Frozen Section services

FNA procedures for adequacy

Cytology (including Non-GYN)

Patient Population: Primarily adult; specimens from all ages

Requirements

Board Certification: AP/CP (Anatomic Pathology & Clinical Pathology) – must be boarded, not eligible

License: Active Ohio license required (no willingness to license)

DEA/CSR: Not required

Experience: Minimum of 3 years

Cytology: Some Non-GYN Cytology sign-out (board verified preferred, not required)

Credentialing: 60–90 days 

EMR: Epic

Travel: All travel fully covered
