The department is supported by 5 pathologists, multiple per diem pathologists, 2 office staff, 2 pathology assistants, lab assistants, and histotechs. On-site locum tenens coverage is sought on a full-time basis beginning as soon as possible on an ongoing basis.

About the clinician's workday

The anatomic and clinical pathologist will provide diagnostic pathology coverage Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with weeknight and weekend call required one week per month. Responsibilities encompass general surgical pathology and cytopathology sign-out across all case types; high-volume case types include breast, GI, GU, and GYN specimens, with GYN cytology also frequent. Hematopathology is not required for this assignment. Board certification in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology is required for all clinicians considered for this position.
