ANATOMIC/CLINICAL PATHOLOGY – MD/DO

Start Date: November 16, 2026
Contract Length: November 16 – December 13, 2026

SCHEDULE

✓ One week in November and 1–2 weeks in December
✓ November 16 at 7:00 AM – November 22 at 7:00 AM
✓ December 7 at 7:00 AM – December 13 at 7:00 AM
✓ Approximately 5 × 8-hour shifts per month

POSITION DETAILS

✓ Hospital-based Pathology department
✓ Adult patient population
✓ Approximately 18,000 surgical cases and 4,000 cytology cases annually
✓ Hospital has approximately 272 beds
✓ Support staff includes a Pathology Assistant and Pathology team
✓ EMR: Cerner
✓ Dictation: Voicebrook
✓ Pathology Assistant performs grossing
✓ Pathologist performs frozen sections
✓ Immunohistochemistry performed in-house
✓ Radiology and Endoscopy perform FNA
✓ No bone marrow currently

REQUIRED SKILLS

✓ GI
✓ Fluids
✓ Lymphoma
✓ GYN Anatomic Pathology
✓ Breast
✓ Lung/Histotech
✓ Radiology
✓ Endoscopy/FNA experience preferred

REQUIREMENTS

✓ MD or DO
✓ Board Certified in Pathology; true Board Eligible candidates may be considered
✓ Pennsylvania state license required; IMLC accepted
✓ Fellowship training required
✓ 1–2 years of experience preferred
✓ DEA and CSR not required

CREDENTIALING & INTERVIEW

✓ Credentialing estimated at 3–4 weeks after acceptance, provided all documentation is completed promptly
✓ Phone interview(s) with Medical Director and/or Pathology team
✓ Up to two phone interviews may be required
✓ Virtual slide review required
✓ Slide review conducted by Medical Director/Pathologists
✓ Confirmation typically within 1–2 days after completion of the virtual slide review/visit
