Locum Anatomic/Clinical Pathologist | Acute Care Hospital | DuBois, PA | Nov & Dec Week Blocks

Job description

Start: November 16, 2026 (or as soon as credentialed)
Length: PRN coverage; 1 week in November and 1–2 weeks in December (ongoing)
Coverage: Hospital-based anatomic/clinical pathology with night and weekend call
Schedule: Mon–Fri, 8:00–17:00; flexible week selection
Call: Night call 17:00–8:00; 24-hour weekend call 7:00–7:00
Volume: Approximately 18,000 surgical cases and 4,000 cytology cases per year
Practice Setting: Acute care hospital
Procedures: Frozen sections; FNA support (performed by radiology and endo)

• Surgical and cytology sign-out across GI, fluids, lymphoma, GYN, breast, and lung
• Frozen section interpretation
• Immunohistochemistry performed in-house; no bone marrow currently
• Pathology assistant performs grossing; supported by histotech and pathology team
• Documentation in Cerner with Voicebrook dictation
• Travel covered: flight, hotel, and rental car/ride share

Requirements
• Board Certified in Pathology (true Board Eligible accepted)
• Active Pennsylvania license or IMLC required
• Fellowship training and 1–2 years of experience required
• Cerner experience required
• Interview: up to 2 phone interviews plus virtual slide review
