🔬 Pathologist – Anatomic/Clinical (MD/DO)

Location: On-site (400-bed hospital)
Employment Type: Locum Tenens / Contract
Contract Length: Ongoing
Schedule:

Weekdays On-site: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Call Schedule:

Weekdays: 5:00 PM – 7:30 AM

Weekends: 24-hour call coverage (Saturday–Sunday)

🏥 Position Overview:

We are seeking a Board-Certified Anatomic/Clinical Pathologist (MD or DO) to join our busy pathology department for ongoing locum tenens coverage. The ideal candidate will have experience in a high-volume hospital setting and be comfortable handling a diverse caseload.

November 17–21

November 24–26

⚙️ Work Details:

Coverage Needed: 3 FTEs

Case Volume: 45–55 cases/day, divided among 3 pathologists

Patient Population: All ages

EMR System: Cerner Fusion

Hospital Size: 400 beds

Department: Pathology

🧪 Case Mix Includes:

Breast

Colon

Dermatopathology

GYN

Lung

Stomach

Prostate

Thyroid

Frozen Sections

FNAs

✅ Qualifications:

MD or DO degree

Board Certification in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology

Active medical license (or eligibility)

Comfortable managing a wide variety of surgical pathology cases

Prior experience in a hospital-based pathology setting preferred

Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with clinical teams

Availability for specified coverage dates
