Pathologist Locum Opportunity – West Virginia

Job description

Aya Locums is seeking a Board-Certified Pathologist for an ongoing locum assignment in West Virginia.

Position Details:

Start Date: November 3rd

Schedule: Full-time Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm plus full-time call coverage (1–2 blood bank issues/week)

Setting: Hospital | Level IV Trauma | 70 beds | EMR: Cerner/Paragon

Case Mix: GI, GYN, breast biopsy, occasional skin excisions; cytology: urines, bronch washes, pleural/ascitic fluids; occasional frozen sections; thyroid FNAs sent out

Support Staff: 2 full-time histotechs, Lab system director, senior techs per department

Position Highlights:

✅ Supportive, experienced histology and lab staff
✅ Occasional frozen sections and cytology, mostly adult specimens

Requirements:

Board-Certified Pathologist

Active state license (IMLC or temporary WV license accepted)

DEA, BLS, ACLS

Minimum 1 year of experience

Credentialing: ~60 days
