Urgent Pathology Need - Full Time Locums

Assignment Details

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Setting: Hospital-based

Coverage: Full-time, onsite

Call: Weeknight and weekend call (rotated with other physicians)

Average callbacks: 1–2 per week (mostly Blood Bank issues)

Credentialing Timeframe: 30–60 days

Willing to License: IMLC candidates only

Case Mix & Procedures

Pathology: General surgical and cytology cases (bread and butter)

Special Procedures:

Frozen sections (occasional)

Cytology: urines, bronchial washes/brushes, pleural & ascitic fluids

Thyroid FNAs are sent to LabCorp

Patient Population: Primarily adults; rare pediatric cases (e.g., tonsils, appendix, peripheral smear reviews)
