Position Overview

Hiring 1–2 CRNAs
Independent practice environment (CRNAs manage their own cases; ~10% medical direction)
Team‑based model in a physician‑owned ambulatory surgery center
Housing available: duplex adjacent to the ASC (3‑bedroom), or full travel coverage provided
Clinical Skills & Block Requirements
Must be comfortable performing nerve blocks
Primary blocks performed:
Interscalene (most common)
Occasional supraclavicular, infraclavicular, and axillary
Adductor canal, genicular PENG, and popliteal blocks
Occasional TAP blocks
Catheter placements: interscalene and adductor canal catheters
Case Types
Ambulatory surgery center cases only — no major hospital‑level complexity
High volume of:
General surgery
Hernias
Eyes
Ears
Sinus
General orthopedics
Colonoscopies
No urology
Neuro‑ortho surgeon operates one Thursday per month (may be covered by another provider)
Annual case volume: approximately 2,800 cases
Schedule & Hours
Procedures begin at 7:30 a.m.; CRNAs must be on site by 7:00 a.m.
Occasional overtime
Time‑and‑a‑half after 40 hours/week or after 8 hours/day
Credentialing
In‑house credentialing process
Alaska requires primary source verification for all licensed providers
Committees can be convened quickly — credentialing can be completed in days
Travel & Licensing
Full travel coverage: airfare, lodging, and rental car
Active Alaska medical license required
Client is open to licensing candidates
