LOCUM TENENS CRNA – HOSPITAL-BASED ANESTHESIA

Day Shifts + Required Weekend Call
Level I Trauma Center

POSITION OVERVIEW

A hospital-based anesthesia program is seeking experienced, board-certified CRNAs to provide locum tenens coverage due to ongoing staffing needs. This assignment includes weekday shifts with mandatory weekend call participation. Emergency/temporary privileges are available.

ASSIGNMENT DETAILS

Emergency / Temporary Privileges: Yes

Shift Type: Days

Estimated Shifts: 16 per month

Estimated Hours: 160 per month

Shift Schedule: Monday–Friday; 10-hour and/or 12-hour shifts

Minimum Commitment: 16 shifts per month plus weekend call



WEEKEND & CALL REQUIREMENTS (REQUIRED)

Weekend Requirement: 2 weekend days per month (one Saturday and one Sunday)

On-Call Requirement: Weekend call only

Call Type: Beeper call


CALL STRUCTURE

CRNAs rotate through the following call positions:

2nd & 3rd Call: 24-hour call (day + overnight beeper)

4th Call: 14-hour call

5th & 6th Call: 10-hour call

Weekend cases are typically morning cases

Once cases are complete, CRNAs are released in order (6th → 2nd)

4th, 5th, and 6th call do not return after leaving for the day

2nd and 3rd call remain on beeper overnight

Cross-Credentialing: Required

No cardiac cases

Primary Case Types: General Surgery, Robotics, Orthopedics


FACILITY & OPERATIVE OVERVIEW

Approximately 200 OB deliveries per month

Operating Rooms:

15 Main ORs

4 Endoscopy suites

2 Cath Labs

2 OB ORs


CREDENTIALING

Average Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 90 days

Board Certification: Required

State License: Active Florida ARNP license required

Experience Requirement: Minimum 2 years (no new graduates)


INTERVIEW REQUIREMENT (MANDATORY)

A clinical call or Zoom interview with the Site Medical Director or clinical leadership is required.


REQUIREMENTS (NO EXCEPTIONS)

Board Certified CRNA

Active Florida ARNP license

Minimum 2 years of CRNA experience

Clean malpractice and background history

Willingness to meet all call and scheduling requirements
