OPPORTUNITY OVERVIEW

We are seeking full-time Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) for locum tenens coverage beginning in January 2027.

Candidates must be available for full-time coverage. The position offers a mix of 8-, 10-, and 12-hour shifts, with 10-hour shifts preferred.

CRNAs must also be willing to participate in call coverage. Providers may work up to 12 consecutive months, followed by a required 6-month break, before returning for another 12-month assignment.


SCHEDULE

Full-time coverage required

40 hours guaranteed per week

Mix of 8-, 10-, and 12-hour shifts

10-hour shifts preferred

Providers must be willing to work 8-, 10-, 12-, 14-hour shifts and night call as needed

Call participation required

Approximately one weeknight call per month

Approximately one weekend call per month

Candidates unwilling to take call will not be considered


CLINICAL ENVIRONMENT

Hospital-based anesthesia practice

Approximately 17 main operating rooms

Approximately 7 ambulatory surgery center operating rooms

Additional cases in specialty areas, cardiac catheterization labs, endoscopy, and radiology

Trauma cases are common

Patient population includes adolescent, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients

More than 90% of patients are over 12 years old

CRNAs perform spinal blocks

Regional anesthesia is not required


CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES

The CRNA will provide anesthesia services across a broad hospital-based surgical environment, including:

Preoperative evaluation and assessment

Anesthesia administration and management

Intraoperative anesthesia care

Postoperative anesthesia management

Spinal anesthesia

Trauma anesthesia

Independent clinical practice as appropriate

Patient care across adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations


REQUIREMENTS

National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA) certification – Required

Active Idaho license – Highly Preferred

Idaho Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration – Required

Idaho Controlled Substance Registration (CSR) – Required

BLS certification

Proof of COVID-19 vaccination – Required

Must be available for full-time coverage

Must be able to meet established rate caps

Must provide earliest available start date at presentation

Must be willing to participate in call coverage

Must indicate experience/proficiency in:

Obstetric (OB) care

Regional anesthesia

Independent practice, including conducting preoperative evaluations without a supervised practice model


CREDENTIALING

Estimated credentialing timeframe: approximately 90 days

Providers should have the following documentation readily available to expedite credentialing:

Diploma

Training certificates

Medical licenses

DEA registration

Board certification

BLS/life support certification

Current and previous certificates of insurance

Professional headshot

Continuing Medical Education (CME) documentation from the past 2 years

Immunization records

Professional references

Case logs

Application and credentialing fees are not reimbursed.


COMPENSATION

Competitive compensation with the following rate caps:

Hourly: Up to $240/hour

ASSIGNMENT TERMS

Full-time coverage required

Initial assignment begins January 2027

Locums may work up to 12 consecutive months

A 6-month break is required after 12 consecutive months before returning
