Idaho CRNA Opportunity – Two Practice Models, Diverse Cases & Full-Scope OB Experience!

Ready for a CRNA opportunity that offers clinical variety and the chance to practice independently? Two hospitals in the Boise, ID area are seeking experienced CRNAs for a 6-month locum tenens assignment beginning in January.

Providers will primarily work at a large hospital in Boise under a supervised anesthesia care team model, with occasional coverage at a nearby facility in Nampa offering independent CRNA practice.

This opportunity is ideal for CRNAs who enjoy diverse surgical cases, are comfortable with Level II Trauma, and have experience with obstetric anesthesia. The Nampa location requires independent practice and OB coverage, including performing preoperative assessments and managing anesthesia without direct physician supervision.

Start Date: 1/4/2027
Contract Length: 6 months, with potential flexibility

Schedule:
• Full-time only, 40 scheduled hours per week
• Variable 8-, 10-, and 12-hour shifts
• Must be available for 16- and 24-hour coverage as scheduled
• No block scheduling
• Schedules released 4–6 weeks at a time
• Must be flexible with shift assignments and coverage at both locations

Call Requirements:
• Boise: 2 weeknights per month and 1 weekend per month
• Nampa: 1 call shift per week (weekday or weekend)
• Call is required

Practice Setting:
• Acute care hospitals in Boise and Nampa, ID
• Boise: Supervised anesthesia care team model (maximum 4:1 ratio)
• Nampa: Independent CRNA practice
• Level II Trauma experience required for Boise coverage

Cases/Procedures:

Boise – Supervised Model
• General surgery, orthopedics, GYN, spine, craniotomies, plastics, and thoracic cases
• Healthy pediatrics, ophthalmology, GI/endoscopy, structural heart, EP, and interventional radiology
• Spinal anesthesia performed by CRNAs
• Arterial line opportunities may be available
• No open hearts, transplants, burns, high-risk pediatrics, or OB
• No epidurals, central lines, or independent regional blocks

Nampa – Independent Model
• OB anesthesia (approximately 25–50% of cases)
• General OR cases (approximately 50–75%)
• Orthopedics, GYN, ENT, healthy pediatrics, spine, urology, endoscopy, and cardioversions
• Independent preoperative assessments
• Regional blocks encouraged but not required
• Approximately 1,500 deliveries annually

Patient Population: Adolescents, children, adults, and geriatrics; more than 90% of patients are over age 12 at the primary location

EMR: Epic

Requirements:
• Minimum 1 year of CRNA experience preferred (6 months may be considered)
• Must be comfortable with Level II Trauma cases
• Must be comfortable practicing independently and providing OB anesthesia at the Nampa location
• Must be available for all required shifts and call
• Non-local providers only

Additional Details:
• Scrubs provided
• Overtime after 40 hours at Boise and 50 hours at Nampa
• Primarily assigned to Boise, with occasional coverage in Nampa

Credentialing Timeframe:
• Licensed providers: Approximately 30–45 days
• Providers requiring licensure: Approximately 90–120 days
