CRNA Opportunity – Columbus, OH

Position Overview

Seeking experienced CRNAs only (minimum 1 year of practice experience).
No new grads.

The facility is open to both full-time and part-time providers and offers flexibility, particularly for local candidates.

CRNAs:

Will NOT be required to perform OB or open-heart cases

No call required

No weekends required

Must be comfortable working in a medically directed anesthesia care team model (MD:CRNA ratio of 1:2 or 1:3)

Schedule

Exact schedule TBD. Client preference includes flexibility with longer shifts.

Preferred Shift Options:

12-hour: 6:30a–7:00p

13-hour: 6:30a–8:00p

14-hour: 6:30a–9:00p

16-hour: 6:30a–11:00p

Additionally referenced as:

3x12s (7:00a–7:00p, flexible start/end)

Important Notes:

Providers requesting 5x8s or 4x10s would need to work midday or night shifts

While full- and part-time hours are available, the client prefers a minimum weekly commitment of at least 2 days

May consider candidates willing to commit to one 16-hour shift per week if their skillset strongly aligns

Required Experience & Skillset

OSU is seeking CRNAs with experience in the following specialties:

High / Moderate-to-High Experience Preferred:

General (high volume)

Neuro (moderate to high)

Urology (moderate to high)

ENT (moderate to high)

Endoscopy (moderate to high)

Transplant (moderate to high – kidney/pancreas only)

Arterial line placement (moderate to high)

Ophthalmology (moderate)

Limited to Moderate Experience Acceptable:

Vascular

Thoracic

Trauma

Burns

Limited or No Experience Acceptable:

Central lines

Not Required:

OB

Open heart

Pain management

Nerve blocks

Neuraxial

Neonatal

Pediatric cases

Clinical Responsibilities (95%)

Conduct comprehensive perioperative assessments

Develop anesthetic care plans based on assessment, labs, and ECG

Collaborate with MDAs and surgical teams

Respond appropriately to changes in patient condition

Perform emergency airway management and intubation

Administer resuscitative medications and implement CPR/ACLS as needed

Maintain anesthetized state using appropriate pharmacologic agents

Operate anesthesia equipment safely and effectively

Participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff meetings

Professional Development (5%)

Attend AANA-accredited CME meetings

Participate in weekly department case management reports

Locum providers will primarily work at Main Campus and OSU East, supporting a wide range of surgical and procedural services.
