# CRNA – Locum Tenens Opportunity

## ⚡ THE HIGHLIGHTS

* **Position:** Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)

* **Schedule:** Monday–Friday
* **Shift Length:** 8 hours

* **ORs:** 4 Operating Rooms
* **Additional Procedure Areas:** GI Suite and OB Suite
* **Average Volume:** Approximately 50–55 cases per week
* **EMR:** Epic
* **Travel:** Lodging and rental car reimbursement available
* **Location Requirement:** Must be within driving distance of the assignment

## 🩺 JOB OVERVIEW

A healthcare organization is seeking an experienced **Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)** to provide locum tenens coverage in a hospital-based operating room environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for a CRNA who enjoys working independently alongside an experienced anesthesia team and collaborative OR staff. The role provides exposure to a diverse mix of surgical specialties, with General Surgery, Gastroenterology, and Orthopedics representing the majority of cases.

## 📅 SCHEDULE

* PRN / As needed
* Monday–Friday
* 8-hour shifts
* OR coverage Monday–Friday
* Approximately 40 patient-contact hours when fully scheduled
* Call is optional and may be available after the provider becomes familiar with the practice

## 🏥 PRACTICE ENVIRONMENT

* Hospital-based practice
* **4 operating rooms**
* 1 GI Suite
* 1 OB Suite
* Approximately **50–55 cases per week**
* Experienced physicians and OR staff
* CRNA practices independently
* No supervision of other APPs required
* Medical imaging, laboratory, and pharmacy services available
* No telehealth or outreach responsibilities

## 🩺 ANESTHESIA SERVICES

The CRNA will provide anesthesia services for a variety of surgical and procedural specialties, including:

* General Surgery
* Orthopedics
* Gastroenterology
* Urology
* ENT
* Obstetrics

**General Surgery, GI, and Orthopedics comprise the majority of cases.**

**No Head or Heart cases.**

## ✈️ TRAVEL & LODGING

For eligible providers, reimbursement may be available for:

* Lodging, subject to applicable reimbursement limits
* Rental car, subject to applicable reimbursement limits
* Mileage reimbursement at the applicable IRS standard rate

Airfare is not currently available for reimbursement.

## 💰 COMPENSATION

* Competitive hourly compensation
* Malpractice coverage incorporated into the assignment compensation structure
* Additional compensation may apply for applicable call, holiday, or callback coverage

## ✅ QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

* **Board Certified CRNA – Required**
* Active Iowa CRNA license or active Compact license – Required
* Experienced CRNA preferred
* New graduates may be considered on a case-by-case basis
* Must be within reasonable driving distance of the assignment
* Clean malpractice and background history required
* No settled, pending, or dismissed malpractice cases
* Current NPDB report required; report should be pulled within the required credentialing timeframe
