An all-CRNA practice in Kansas is seeking a 1-2 certified registered nurse anesthetists for locum tenens coverage. There will likely be an ongoing need for 1-2 weeks per month, or possibly other schedule arrangements. The call schedule is 1:7 for first and second call, consisting of 1 weeknight per week of first call and 1 weeknight per week of second call. CRNAs are typically called back on first call between 2-4 hours, but this typically entails staying later to finish cases. They are rarely called in on second call. Post call days are regular working days unless CRNAs prefer otherwise and would be unpaid. Locum candidates must be able to work independently handling a high volume of cases with quick turn around. Experience in obstetrics, pediatrics, spinal and epidurals is required. Strong OB skills are a must, and candidates must have clinical experience in OB and peds. Notes are entered into EMR. Training is provided if needed, but candidates already experienced in EMR software are preferred for this assignment.
