Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)

Job description

We are seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to provide anesthesia coverage for a growing surgical service in Fredonia, Kansas.

The CRNA will work alongside a new surgeon and provide anesthesia services for a variety of scheduled procedures. This is a low-acuity setting with no trauma and no open surgical cases.

Fredonia, Kansas

The opportunity is based at a Critical Access Hospital.

Schedule & Work Environment
Scheduled coverage – No Call
Day shifts
7:00 AM–12:00 PM
First case typically begins around 8:00 AM
Primary schedule:
2nd and 4th Thursday of each month
Potential need for every Tuesday
Adult patient population
No block schedule
No trauma
No open surgical cases
Recent volume included approximately 6 scheduled patients in one day, with ongoing volume to be determined
Case Mix

Procedures may include:

Scopes/endoscopic procedures
Colonoscopies
EGD
Lesion and cyst removals
Port-a-cath procedures
Other minor procedures

Requirements
CRNA certification
Kansas licensure or willingness to obtain a Kansas license
Comfortable providing anesthesia services in a Critical Access Hospital setting
Ability to work independently and support a variety of minor procedures
Adult patient experience
