Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
Hospital-Based | 13-Week Contract
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced CRNA for a full-time, scheduled assignment at a Level I Trauma Center. This is a no-call position with consistent weekly hours. Providers must be available to work every week for the duration of the contract.
Assignment Details
Start Date: May 18, 2026
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Coverage Type: Scheduled shifts only (No call)
Commitment: Full-time, 4 weeks per month required
Schedule & Shifts
Preferred Schedule: 4×10-hour shifts
Alternative Schedules Considered: 8s or 12s (full-time only)
Shift Time:
Standard: 7:00am – 5:30pm (30-minute unpaid lunch)
Facility will prioritize candidates available for 10:00am start times with 10-hour shifts
Providers must be able to work every week
Practice Setting
Facility Type: Acute Care Hospital
Trauma Level: Level I Trauma Center
Patient Volume: 1–9 cases per day
Patient Population: All age groups (no neonatal)
EMR: Epic (preferred)
Clinical Responsibilities
CRNAs will provide anesthesia services for:
Orthopedic
Trauma
Vascular
Neuro (No cardiac cases)
Procedures & Skills Required
Intubation
Central line placement
Arterial line placement
Line placement
Blocks are not commonly required.
No OB coverage.
All providers will be required to work NORA cases.
Care Team Model
Supervision by Anesthesiologists
Typical medical direction ratios:
2:1 or 3:1 (Anesthesiologist to CRNA)
May extend up to 4:1 for low-acuity cases
Attending Anesthesiologist often oversees a resident in a separate room with a focus on teaching
Requirements
Board Certified CRNA (NBCRNA)
Active state license: Kentucky (open to licensing)
Minimum 1 year of CRNA experience (No new graduates)
Recent experience in a large medical center required
Level I or II trauma experience strongly preferred
Credentialing
Estimated timeframe: 90 days
