Aya Locums is seeking experienced Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) for locum tenens opportunities in Springfield, Massachusetts. This position offers flexible scheduling for local providers, 10 or 12-hour shifts, no call requirements, and the opportunity to work at a Level I Trauma Center with a broad surgical case mix.

SCHEDULE

- Start Date: January 25, 2027
- Late January or February start available
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Local providers: 2 days per week or 1–2 weeks per month
- Non-local providers: Full-time coverage required
- 10-hour shifts: 7:00 AM–5:30 PM
- 12-hour shifts: 7:00 AM–7:30 PM
- No call
- Overtime after scheduled shift
- Scheduled hours are not formally guaranteed

PRACTICE SETTING

- Acute Care Hospital
- Level I Trauma Center
- Academic / Teaching Hospital
- 724-bed facility
- Adult patient population, approximately ages 18–80
- Anesthesia care team model
- Approximately 1:4 Anesthesiologist-to-CRNA ratio
- Actual staffing ratio is typically lower
- Anesthesia Technician support
- Cerner and Metavision AIS charting systems

CASE MIX

- Broad surgical case mix
- Regional anesthesia skills required
- Adult anesthesia cases
- No cardiac cases
- No OB cases
- No pediatric cases

REQUIREMENTS

- Board-Certified CRNA required
- Minimum 5 years of CRNA experience
- Active Massachusetts license required
- DEA required/CSR required
- Regional anesthesia proficiency required
- Must be comfortable working in a Level I Trauma Center
- Academic hospital experience beneficial
