Ortho Anesthesia – Heavy Regional Blocks | No Call or Weekends | Ongoing or OT
Job description
We are seeking an Anesthesiologist for a fast-paced orthopedic anesthesia practice with a strong emphasis on regional anesthesia and joint replacement cases. This opportunity is ideal for providers seeking ongoing work or additional OT, with no call and no weekends.
The practice runs efficiently and can extend through the afternoon depending on case volume, making it a great fit for anesthesiologists who enjoy high-acuity ortho and hands-on regional work.
🕒 Schedule & Coverage
Daytime shifts (may run until ~5:00 PM)
Block coverage required
No call
No weekends
Ideal for ongoing coverage or OT seekers
🦴 Case Mix & Volume
Approximately 3,700 cases annually
All general orthopedic cases and joint replacements
High-volume, well-established ortho service line
🩺 Regional Anesthesia & Skills Required
Strong proficiency in regional anesthesia is required, including:
Interscalene blocks (ISB)
Supraclavicular blocks
Intermediate cervical plexus blocks (clavicles)
Axillary blocks
Popliteal blocks
Adductor canal blocks (ACB)
Possible iPACK and genicular nerve blocks
Epidurals and spinals
This role is best suited for anesthesiologists who are comfortable performing blocks independently in a high-throughput environment.
👥 Team Structure & Workflow
CRNAs work in the OR
Physicians handle:
Pre-ops
Running boards
Supervision
May staff rooms as needed
When physicians are in the room, surgeons supervise CRNAs
Paper charting (no EMR currently in use)
