Facility:
This is a large, high-acuity health system operating across multiple locations in the Duluth area, anchored by a Level I Trauma Center housed in a brand-new facility that opened in July 2023. The system includes a 344-bed tertiary hospital, multiple surgery centers, and outpatient endoscopy centers, offering providers diverse and dynamic clinical environments across 26 operating rooms.

Advanced Practice (CRNA) - Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)

Job Details:

  • Locum Tenens opportunity working Monday through Friday with the possibility of occasional weekend shifts
  • Medically directed practice working alongside collegial anesthesiologists in a collaborative environment
  • Average of 1-2 longer cases or 3-4 shorter cases per 8-hour shift
  • Busy surgical schedule covering all surgical service lines with the exception of transplants and pediatric hearts
  • One-to-one patient care providing anesthesia in operating rooms, Cath Lab, GI, EP, MRI, and CT as needed
  • Caring for all patient age groups including adult, pediatric, neonatal, and trauma patients at a Level I Trauma Center
  • Shift options include 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts Monday through Friday and 12 or 16-hour shifts on weekends with a 30-minute unpaid lunch
  • Anesthesia services required across multiple surgical specialties including cardiac, complete orthopedic, complex vascular, head and spine, neuro, OB, pediatric, regional, and thoracic
  • Required skills include general anesthesia, spinal anesthesia, regional anesthesia, obstetrical cases, neurosurgical cases, open heart anesthesia, thoracic cases, complex vascular cases, complex orthopedic cases, ventilation management, evaluation and management of acute volume/BP issues, and arterial line placement
  • Must be a graduate (Master's or Doctorate) of an accredited school of anesthesia
  • Must hold current or be able to obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse Anesthetist in Minnesota
  • Must be certified by the National Board of Certification and Recertification of Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA)
  • Board certification required; credentialing timeframe estimated at 45-120 days

Compensation:
