Locum Tenens CRNA

Position Overview
- A hospital is seeking a CRNA for ongoing locum tenens coverage beginning in December. This is an excellent opportunity for a CRNA looking for a consistent Monday–Friday schedule with the option to participate in call coverage.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable providing anesthesia services across a broad range of cases, including general surgery, endoscopy, OB/C-sections, and epidurals.
Schedule & Coverage
- Monday–Friday coverage
- Option to take call
- Approximately 12–15 patients per day
- Coverage across the OR, GI Lab, and OB
- Emergency C-section and epidural coverage
- No routine weekend requirement specified
- Local candidates preferred

Clinical Responsibilities
- The CRNA will be expected to independently manage a broad range of anesthesia services, including:
General anesthesia
Surgical cases
Endoscopy/GI procedures
OB anesthesia
Emergency C-sections
Labor epidurals
TEE
Cardioversions, rarely
Emergency anesthesia coverage in the ER when needed
Emergency cases as clinically required
Practice Environment
- Hospital-based anesthesia practice
- Approximately 5 CRNAs providing coverage
- CRNAs cover the OR, GI Lab, OB C-section emergencies, and epidurals
- CRNAs work under the supervision of a surgeon or anesthesiologist
- Approximately 114-bed hospital
- Level II Trauma Center
- Approximately 1 anesthesia provider on duty
Required Skills
- Candidates should be comfortable managing:
OR/surgical anesthesia
Endoscopy procedures
OB anesthesia
Labor epidurals
Emergency C-sections
A broad range of patient ages and clinical presentations
Credentialing & Travel
Credentialing timeframe is approximately 3–4 weeks
Credentialing may take longer depending on board meeting schedules
